The attached photo is one of Corri’s mom who was with her in spirit during the ceremony.

I totally LOVED Corri’s dress!  For some reason, the designer has escaped me.  BUT, I’ll find out and let you know.

The next one was about 10 minutes before the ceremony.  It was really difficult not to be emotional…and not just for them.  I had my tissues handy, too!

Eric thought he’d be REAL funny and pull out some “granny” panties in front of the crowd.  nice.  It was a big hit, though.  HA!

It totally cracks me up how HE hides behind her in the next one.  Heh..heh

I’m truly pumped to finally be able to post some of the photos from Ruth and Wally’s awesome wedding!  I feel like I’ve really gotten to know these two in the past few months.  I shot their engagement photos back in June and since then have kept in constant communication with them through Facebook.  I tell ya, I’m really loving’ this whole Facebook phenonmenon.  It makes it possible for me to really get to know many of my clients, sometimes even before meeting up with them for a session.  It’s a super cool thing!

I knew when I met Ruth back in June that her wedding would be a perfectly planned event.  My job would be so easy.  I guessed right.  It was perfect in every way and down to every last detail.  Although, I have to say it helped that every single person attending or involved was absolutely awesome!  I seriously had so much FUN shooting this wedding.  I could’ve stayed all night!

These two have such a special relationship.  I couldn’t wait to see the reaction as they saw each other for the first time during the ceremony.  Ruth was gorgeous and so emotional.  I thought she’d lose it before ever making it down the isle, but it was Wally who gasped as the doors opened and Ruth walked towards him.

The emotion was so evident on his face…and then the tears came…

It gave me chills…

Luckily, the rest of the wedding party kept things light and full of laughter…especially the men.  They were causing trouble from the get go…

The best man was the main instigater, too!

T-R-O-U-B-L-E !  He kept us on our toes most of the day.

The gals, on the other hand, couldn’t have been better behaved.  BUT, isn’t that always the case?  I know it is around my house!

My assistant, DeLisa, caught this one of them teasing Ruth a bit…it turned out great!  I love it!

There were gadgets galore.  From cameras to cell phones to video recorders, everyone had something in hand.  These two (above), were trying to keep busy by playing games on their mothers’ cell phones.

It was definitely time for a little celebration!  Everyone got in on the action as the reception kicked off.

The wedding was a huge success!  Congratulations, Ruth and Wally, I hope all your dreams come true!  I’m so glad I was able to be a part of such an incredible event.

Here are a few of my favorites!

I’m starting with the cake because it was so totally cool!  I love butterflies!  The whole wedding incorporated butterflies…

Kyle and Lahree released some during the ceremony.  Then, afterward, the guests got to release some, too!  It was all about celebration and making wishes for Kyle and Lahree.  How cool is that?!

The butterflies were kept in tiny little triangle boxes…how do they survive in there?  I really have never seen anything like it!

You can’t see them flying away in the above photo, but they were there…soaring to new heights.

I love the idea of having friends and family sign a photo mat instead of a wedding book…something you can actually hang and read each day.  I haven’t pulled out my wedding book since my wedding.  Have any of you?

The wedding was so heartfelt and emotional.  Many of the moments during the wedding were spent dabbing eyes…me included.

That’s Sheena in the background…she’s Lahree’s sister and the Maitron of Honor.  I think she shed more tears than any of us.  It is her little sister, afterall, who’ll be moving away very soon.  She’s having to let go…and let God, and Kyle take over for her.  It must be difficult to do when you love someone so much and have always taken care of them as only a big sister can.

I think there’ll be plenty of love to spare, though.  Check out that kiss!

During their first dance, I felt like an intruder eavesdropping when I shouldn’t have been.  I’m pretty sure everyone else felt that way, too.  It was STEAMY!

The church where these two got hitched was so cool because it has all these huge windows across the ceiling letting in a gorgeous sunlight.  In this one, it's almost like God's shining his blessing down upon them.
 

 

 

I sure wish I'd hired a photographer for my wedding who would've had a bit more fun.  I hate traditional.  I love all the "getting ready" shots and have none of my own to remember the day. Boo!

I wish I'd actually taken the time to lace up the back of the dress.  BUT, it might have caused me to miss the wedding!  MAN, there was some major lacing in that thing!  She looked stunning in it, too.

They promised it would be a super small event…and it was, thank goodness.  AND, they are super nice people who couldn't have made it easier for me.  Plus, I had my trusty assistant DeLisa for backup support!  I figured, why not.  I'd give it a try.

So, here goes.  These are just a tiny bit of my favorites from the day.

So simple, in fact, it was actually a bit of an elopement.  The only witnesses were Jason's brother, sister-in-law, the pastor, myself, and God.  It was perfect.

No stress…

No guests to entertain…

Just the two of them.  Happy.  In love.  Married.
