Michael is my nephew.  He lives all the way over in Iowa, which seems like across the entire country from me.  I don’t get to see his sweet face very often.  This time around I was lucky enough to get to snap lots and lots of photos of his gorgeous mug!  He wasn’t really THAT excited, but I was giddy enough for both of us.  HA!

In case you haven’t noticed, he looks a bit like Taylor Lautner.  Don’t ya think?  Well, I do.

AND, since I’m smitten with the new movie and Taylor (He’s the HOT Werewolf in the Twilight series for those of you living under a rock), it was extra fun to get to shoot multiple photos of my dear, sweet, Taylor Lautner look-a-like, nephew.

[Yes, I do know that Taylor is about a million years younger than me.  It doesn't make him any less hot.]

Okay, so back to my dear, sweet nephew, Michael.  He’s completely and totally adorable in a quiet, shy kinda way.  He’s very subdued, but it’s really nice to see that these days when everyone else is going bonkers with piercings and tattoos and who knows what else (yes, even I have a tattoo – so no judgment there).  I like him just the way God made him.

I know he’s going to do awesome this coming year and will make a rather H-O-T senior.  So, watch out girls.  He’s looking good.  He’s the complete package!  We love you, Michael!

Here are my favorites!

Katie is the coolest gal I’ve met in quite a while.  I totally loved hanging out with her!

I met up with Katie and her gorgeous mom in Bricktown.  We couldn’t have gotten a sweeter night to shoot.  The sun was golden and there was only a slight breeze blowing.   As we cruised along the river watching the baby ducks swim beside us, we chatted about girl stuff, made fun of boys, and had a perfectly AWESOME time.  We also snapped a few photos…

Did I mention what a SUPER COOL chic she is?  I told her more than once, she’s my kind of girl.  No high heels in sight!  She brought every color of flip-flop under the sun, kept the clothes casual, and even laughed at my total dorkiness!  Thanks, Katie.

I’m not sure I have a bad photo from our session.  Scout’s honor.  She was so genuine and happy – that’s what shows through.  When you’re happy it shows!

I have to finish up with one of her and her mom together.  Thanks for an awesome time, girls.  I’ll hang with y’all anytime!

Oh, by the way, is it just me or does Mom look a WHOLE LOT like Leslie Ann Warren (the manager chic from the movie Pure Country)?

Oh, lordy be.  I nearly had a heart attack.  He had me at hello.

BUT, unfortunately, we couldn’t take EVERY shot with his guitar.  It’s just not right….

Nah, really… he’s a super cool guy even without the guitar.  I knew the second I saw him loving on his mama.  He was a sweet guy.

We had so much fun cruising around town finding cool places to shoot.  He was a real trooper, too, and listened to everything his mom and I said.  He minded well.

Wait a minute…

A sweet guy who loves his mama, plays guitar (John Mayer songs, no less), and minds well.  Did I just describe the perfect guy?

It’s possible.

All credit needs to go to his mom who was pretty neat herself.  We talked a bit about family and boys….

I’d say they’re gonna have some trouble choosing which ones to print.  What do you think? 

Not only did we get to traipse throughout the countryside, but we got up-close and personal with some MAJOR John Deere tractors (I was drooling for my boys!), lie in the cool grass, be chased around by a cute kitty and some pooches, and even get licked by a BIG moo-cow!  It was perfect!

Marianna, here are a few of my favorites!

Marianna was a trooper.  She started off in white flip-flops, but soon realized she’d be needing some boots! 

You’ve already met Sadie since this was the first photo I proofed and had to sneak it on early, but, folks, let me tell ya…

I was ready to take this cow home with me.  SERIOUSLY!  I fell in love right away.  She was the sweetest thing ever…and those eyes!

Courtney and I had some MAJOR fun during her session this past weekend.  This gal was up for anything.  In fact, we couldn’t even fit in all the neat ideas we had…

My favorite thing about her session was all the different colors and textures we were able to incorporate.  In a small two-hour time period, we went from urban to traditional to retro… it was perfect!

Of course, it’s hard to go wrong with a gorgeous subject like her.  Those pretty eyes and bright white smile.  She’s a beauty!  AND, the best part is her attitude matches her great looks.  She was the sweetest thing ever!

It was totally obvious, too, how she learned to be such a nice person.  Her relationship with her parents demonstrated just how awesome life at home is with Miss Courtney.  She’s got some lucky folks and she’s pretty lucky herself to have such great parents who love her so much!

Her mom kept teasing her about these HUGE high heels, but the truth is I kinda liked them… not that I could actually walk in them or anything.  HA!

She totally rocked the 2010 glasses!  AWESOME!

I felt so sorry for her during the white-dress pictures.  She must have been absolutely FREEZING, but she was a trooper and totally stuck it out.  It’s a good thing, too, cause they turned out SUPER cool.

I can’t wait to go back to this spot.  It was so unique and cool.

He was so well-behaved, too!  You Goddard boys need to take lessons!  You hear?

The truth is I know this cowboy pretty darn well, and he’s not really a cowboy.  He does sport this hat regularly, but last time I checked he wasn’t wrangling cows or anything of the sort (maybe wrangling girls, does that count?).  Still, he’s cute all the same.  AND he’s lucky, because he gets to have ME as his senior portrait photographer.  ME.  Yes, me.   I was the happy photog that shot his brother’s senior photos, too.  You see, his mom and I went to college together and have been friends ever since.  I’ve known Tanner since he was about 3 years old.  Wow.  That means I’m really old.

Let’s move along, shall we…

Whew!  It’s smokin’ in here.  Anybody getting hot?  Someone turn on the air.

What is it about cowboys (whether they’re real or not)?  Why do they make us swoon?  Somebody should research that and get back with me.

Anyway, the nice thing about Tanner (along with the cowboy hat) is he’s actually a really great guy, too.  He loves his momma, he tries hard in school, he does what he’s told, and he’s nice to the girls.  What more could you ask for?

This shot is one of my favorites from the whole session.  The background combined with his “macho” look and those yellow flowers sprinkled around make it look like some sort of magazine ad.  It’s perfect.

Who would’ve thought purple could look so cool?  Even I’m surprised!

How delicious is this next shot?  Sheesh, somebody fan me!

This next one would make great wallets for his graduation announcements, don’t ya think…

and, of course, I have to end with a couple of Tanner and his pretty momma.  They mean the world to each other.  Can’t you tell?

This makes me happy because it’s really hard to accommodate all those seniors when they bombard me in the Spring. Call now kiddos – it’s a good idea! 

Meet David.

David is one smokin’ hot cowboy…wouldn’t you agree?  I’m pretty sure there were no cowboys this good-looking in my senior class.  Of course, there were a lot of things my senior class missed out on.  Times are a changing…

I’m pretty sure David’s momma is raising him right.  At first he was a little shy and pretty dang quiet.  BUT, after a few teasing words from me and all of a sudden, he was breaking out of that shell.  Whew!  I’m pretty sure I should’ve kept my mouth shut.

By the time our session ended, he was ALL smack talk.  It’s all good though, because if smack talk is what it takes to get steamy shots like these, then I’ll do the dirty work!  HA!

He wasn’t too fond of the sweater, but I have to say he looks smokin’ H-O-T in it!  Don’t ya think?

I was very impressed with how Colton handled his senior session.  Apparently, he was feeling quite a bit under the weather and was still able to “work it out”!  Seriously, just look at that grin.  He’d literally be on the verge of a full-on puke fest, but as soon as the camera would turn his way, he’d flash us his specatular grin.  Work it, buddy, work it!

I feel a little bad for such a late post…I was trying really hard to get this up last night, but with a session and being out of town for the night, it just didn’t happen.  I think it’s okay, though.  Colton was definitely worth the wait.

The first two shots and these next two are DEFINITELY my favorites…I think.  I love the coolness vibe the sweater puts off.  Then, these two of him in his letter jacket are the perfect shots to show a little school pride.

AND, of course, we can’t forget a shot with his momma.  She’s a pretty cool gal herself.  Check out those blue eyes!
