We have three 8 week old boys in need of a good home.  I hear YOU have a good home.    Just think, EVERY day when you arrive home, you’ll have this to look forward to:

and then, you’ll hit the dirt, because it’s impossible to walk with puppies around.  But, it’s all worth it.  Luckily, I can still count on ONE hand how many times I’ve gone down in the name of saving a pudgy pup from impending doom.

Okay, in all honesty, I’m REALLY ready to be rid of a few of these pups.  They are now big enough to get EVERYWHERE (even the places you want them to avoid), they poop a whole lot, they eat anything in sight (like my nice cushiony porch swing), and cry more than most babies.  Did I mention I’m begging?  Just sayin’….

Meet Poncho.

Poncho is the runt of our litter and weighs nearly half of all the others.  She is a cudly, lovable baby-doll.

She’ll be staying at our house for a while.

I would love to tell you he’s already chasing down his first bird, but the truth is he was after Wes.  They all LOVE Wes, because he is still small enough to attack.  Poor Wes.

I’m scared to death I’ll step on one and squish it!

They don’t exactly hold still long enough to get a photo that’s in-focus.  So, you’ll have to make do with these slightly blurry versions.

For those of you interested, the pups will be selling for $850 each.  The “kids”, as I refer to them, were mostly bred for hunting purposes or field trials, but will make awesome pets, too.  Most of you have heard me talk about our momma dog, Zipper, who’s nothing short of amazing.  Josh has trained her so well, she could pass for a well-behaved human.  HA!

The daddy of the bunch, is actually a field trial champion.  He’s the top rated dog in the state of Oklahoma, which is pretty cool.  I’m really not very good with all technical mumbo jumbo, so if you have questions feel free to email me and I’ll have Josh send a reply.

The pups got their teeth a couple of weeks back and anything around here is fair game for chewing, including toys the boys use in the sandbox.

Having these ornery little pups has sure made things fun, though.  I’m gonna miss them when they aren’t around anymore.   That means whoever ends up with them better send updates FREQUENTLY…

Luckily, we’re planning to keep one of the little girls.  Still, who can choose?

She’s half the size of all the others, but has the sweetest personality.  She’s definitely one of my favorites.

Meet Coco and Cookie.  THEY NEED YOU.

Here’s the story straight from their momma’s mouth:

We are moving overseas in just 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I have still not been able to find a good home for Cookie and Coco . We ‘re not able to take our beloved doggies with us and I’ve been desperately trying to find a home for both of them ‘ together ‘ . They were raised together and pine without each other. The Lab rescue have already said they would probably separate them, so this is my last resort. Recently I tried to take Coco out in my car alone and she TOTALLY refused to get into the car without Cookie! She absolutely pulled back on her haunches until Cookie was by her side.

Both doggies are in great health, have been spayed and have ID chips implanted under the skin. Cookie turned 3 December 10th and Coco turned 3 April 1st. Cookie is my mellow-yellow and loves her tummy rubbed. Coco is adorably funny and lives for her “ball”.  She also loves the water. Cookie loves lots of attention. Both doggies are loyal and love to walk. They have been raised with my 3 kids running around all over the place and have survived Sammy’s constant hugging and love of  dress-up, so they are fantastic family dogs.

This is by far one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make, but under the circumstances I have no choice.
Please forward this post to all your friends. I want to find a great home for these fabulous doggies. They are adorable and it’s heartbreaking to let them go.

In a perfect world, I hope we could find someone local so we can still keep in touch and visit them. I pray someone, somewhere can help us keep Cookie and Coco together, and love them just as much as we do. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

This weekend was awesome.

I slept.  I played.  I slept some more.  I enjoyed my family.  I DID NOT work.

Well…maybe just a tiny bit.

BUT, now…I’m back in the swing of things.  Back to reality and back to all of you, which is good…cause I missed you.

I have an insane amount of sessions coming up in the next couple of weeks.  Hopefully, I’ll have no problem keeping up with you here.  I really enjoy sharing with you guys and posting fun aspects of our lives here in the good ‘ole Oklahoma country.  Of course, most of you only visit so you can see your sneak peeks, but I like to fool myself into thinking it’s my charming personality.  HA!  I know the truth, but I can pretend.  Right?

In the weeks to come I should have no problem getting you back here on a regular basis.  After all, I have a secret weapon….

Oh, wait…I’m getting a bit sidetracked…

This weekend, we had the best time.  We had dinner with my folks on Friday night (at a local casino – I won $10 on the quarter slots!!!).  Josh’s folks brought the cousins for a visit and to see the puppies on Sunday evening.  The kids always have a great time out here – we should charge admission!  The truth is my boys REALLY aren’t spoiled, though.  Everything they enjoy is outside, which makes things nice.  We have a great REFURBISHED fort, lots of dump trucks, slides, dirt/sand – add in spoons, bowls, salt shakers, etc – you get the idea…  Then add in our golf cart and trails through the woods…a few black puppies…junk food….

Have you ever tried to write a blog post with a Spanish movie playing in the background?  Why is it that when men (no one in particular, of course) leave the room to go to bed, they ALWAYS leave on Fox news (which I like, but can only handle so much of) playing as loud as possible OR the Spanish channel, by accident?

Who can think with all that on in the background?  Sheesh!!!  Once again, I have to get up to go change it – breaking my train of thought.  So, I’m warning you now.  If this post becomes disjointed from this point on, you know why.  It was a MAN’s fault.

**okay back to programming – sorry for the interruption**

So, as I was saying earlier, the kiddos really enjoy hanging and swinging at our place.  They move from station to station…swings, fort, sand box, golf cart, PUPPIES…

AND, I love having them here.  I could seriously have an entire ball team worth of kids out here ALL the time and it would be just fine with me.

Did I mention these adorable, yummy-smelling, black puppies are up for grabs?  They’ll be ready for a new home around Fall break – that’s October 15th here.  I’ll be posting more information as they get a bit bigger, but for now, simply enjoy the sweetness…

I got a call to schedule Abby Jo's 4 month session and I was so excited.  I really don't get to photograph that many babies…at least not recently.  I left home early knowing how far of a drive it would be – totally planned ahead for traffic.  You know the drill.

The drill let me down.

Before arriving at this gang's house…I fought a traffic jam on the interstate and a detour for a road closed (one I needed to be driving on!).  By the time I actually arrived at their house, I was more than a little behind on time.  I hate that!

Luckily, this little gal was a complete doll (all 10 pounds of her – she was a preemie).  She made all the stress of getting to my destination vanish in a second.  It's funny how a sweet, innocent baby can do that.  She totally gave me baby fever.

Just check out those pink lips!  Aren't they yummy!

She was fussing a tiny bit in this one and they totally circled the troops around her to make sure she was okay.  It was so sweet!

For some reason, I'm on a texture kick…but with this shot, it was getting a little too dark to shoot anyway so the photo was a bit grainy…  The texture sorta makes the shot (at least for me it does).

All I know is these two were a barrel of laughs.  I seriously wanted to take them home with me – poor Riley nearly hyperventilated during our session.  We kept having to stop walking and take a few breaks so he wouldn't pass out!  THAT, in itself, was cute…or at least I thought so…


I mean, just look at him…  aw, shucks…you know you want to take him home with you…

So outgoing and energetic, but well-behaved at the same time…  I think I need some more pooches around my place, what do you think?

She hid the puppy from my mom, who pays for everything she does, and only told a few select people (one of those select people being her wonderful sister – ME).  I was actually a little bit excited for her, but mostly because I love puppy dogs.  This weekend she came home for a Father's Day visit and brought her puppy with her.  Don't worry, I blabbed to Mom a week ago!  I know, bad sister! BAD!

So, anyway, last night was no different from any other night.  We were all outside enjoying the nice weather, driving our golf cart through trails in the woods, listening to music, visiting with the neighbors, and various other things when we discovered these…

This big guy wasn’t shy at all.  We actually brought him in the house to crawl around the living room so the kids could get a really close look at him.

Josh says there’s a trick to telling the age of a turtle, but we couldn’t remember what it was.  Anyone have a clue?

Meet Pearl.

She’s the old gal dog next door who loves to come visit us from time to time.  AND then, there’s our sweet Josie who has decided it’s more fun at Pearl’s house and pretty much stays there most of the time…luckily they like having her around.

She’s getting a little gray, too.  But she sure is a pretty girl, isn’t she…
I don’t have a photo of Zipper (our black lab) to share today since she’s usually riding in the golf cart with us.  If we hop out so does she and the second we’re back in, she’s right there with us…Big turkey – who would’ve thought a dog liked riding shotgun in a golf cart.



Okay, so maybe these last six photos weren’t taken here on our land.  They were taken at Bella’s birthday party at the little country zoo down the street.  But, you never know what might show up around here.  I’m just keeping you guessing a bit.  After all, we did catch 4 tadpoles, a couple of toads, a snake (tiny one), and the baby rabbit and turtle all in one evening.
