My last Snapshot Moms class before Christmas will be October 23rd from 4-7pm.  I have a few spots left before the class is filled.  If you are interested in learning more about your camera, getting some tips on taking awesome photos, and receiving a FREE photography book/guide, then this is the class for you.  We always have a great time!  Email now for more information.

Sadly, the first thing that gets neglected around here during the busy season is this blog. So, those of you who still love me, keep checking in and I promise to try really hard to peek in here every couple of days.  Deal?

With all that being said, I have a few other things to mention…

First, I will no longer be doing newborn sessions.  I love babies.  Really.  I do.  However, something had to give in order to fit in all of my favorite families.  I love my loyal families even more than brand new babies.  I want to be able to see them EVERY year when they call.  Newborn sessions take the most time and most preparation.  It seems logical to me that removing them from my schedule will allow more time to be spent on all of YOU.

Those of you who are pregnant RIGHT NOW, please don’t panic.  I know some very AWESOME photographers to refer your way.  Then, in three months or so, I’ll be happy to chase you around with my camera!

Second, I have exactly 3 spots left on my calendar for sessions BEFORE Christmas (unless you can talk me into giving up one of my days off)!!  If you are wanting Christmas cards or just Fall family photos, please email or call now.  Don’t wait.  Sobs stories won’t work this time. 

Third, I’d like to mention that turnaround times are a bit long these days.  I’m proofing into the night, as usual, but I must be getting older because I can’t handle the late hours like I used to…hence, a longer turnaround time during the holidays.  Please, be patient.  I promise to get them all finished before Christmas!  HA!

Fourth, if you’re interested in a Snapshot Moms class I’m offering on October 23rd, email me ASAP so I can get a headcount.

Introducing…

Snapshot Moms

a workshop tailored specifically for moms who want to capture better photos of their children and family.  This is a BASIC workshop to help get you out of AUTO mode.  You don’t have to have any camera knowledge or an “expensive” camera.  You’ll gain TONS of information even if you show up with your point and shoot.

Snapshot Mom workshops are limited to 8 women ensuring you get a personalized experience.  At the end of our time together, you’ll have the opportunity to ask all your questions – pick my brain, so to speak.  Each participant will also go home with a cool new book to help out during the learning process.

Snapshot Moms will be offered a minimum of once a month, until enrollment starts to dwindle.  After that, it’ll be on an as-needed basis.  Every month, I’ll be asking a different mom to host the workshop in her home.  The reward for being a great hostess is FREE enrollment into the workshop itself.  If you’re interested in being a hostess and would like more details, shoot me an email.

Because Snapshot Moms is limited to 8 people each month, mom’s will have the option to plan an extra workshop by filling 8 spots on their own.  Basically that means, I’d be happy to help out more than once a month, if the need is there and you have 8 friends that want to attend.  If you aren’t able to fill all 8 spots, I’ll fill the remaining spots with gals from MY list.

Let’s say the group thing is not your style. I will be offering PRIVATE one-on-one workshops that can be scheduled at your convenience for $150 an hour.  Think how much you could learn!

Our first Snapshot Moms workshop is scheduled for…

April 10th from 4-7pm

Choctaw, Oklahoma

Those of you on the “I’d love to attend” list get first chance to reserve a spot.  Sign-up is on a first come-first served basis.  Payment in full guarantees your spot.  If payment is not received within 5 days of enrolling, the next person on the list will move into your spot.

Payment can be made in the form of cash, check, or Paypal to shannongurneyphoto[at]yahoo[dot]com – if you are confused on how to send money via Paypal, let me know and I’ll send you a money request.

Total due is $125.

Extra Info:

Dinner and drinks will be provided.
Laptops are welcome.
Bring your camera(s)
Wear comfortable clothing – a jogging suit is perfectly okay.  Do not dress up, we may end up on the ground outside shooting pics.
You do not have to be a mom to attend.  If you have an older child that is wanting to learn photography, feel free to enroll them.
8 spots are available including the hostess.
Count on being photographed at some point during the evening.  How else will we practice what we’ve learned?
