It’s amazing what just a year can do in terms of family photos. Last year, we got great family shots from this bunch, but I had to work MUCH harder. This time around, I almost felt bad accepting payment! The kiddos were awesome, mom and dad smiled for me, the sun was shining, and a turquoise wall was involved. It’s called picture PERFECT!

I love this family and how much fun we always have shooting photos. They are so relaxed and up for anything. They should be my poster family, right? It may just happen!

Meet Rachel.

She’s beautiful, inside and out.

Rachel and her mom drove all the way from Byng, Oklahoma to hang out with me last week. I’m so glad they went to all that trouble, too. Because, Rachel’s session is going on my TOP 10 list of favorite sessions to date. I had so much fun! Plus, talk about an EASY session.

Most of you know I’m 9 months pregnant. In fact, I have exactly 7 days before baby Gurney joins our crew. I’m taking this last week off from shooting to catch up on editing and to relax a bit. But, I’ll tell ya, if all my sessions were as easy as Rachel’s, I’d be shooting THIS week. It was a breeze…even at 9 months pregnant!

Ashley – senior 2012

Meet Ashley.

Ashley will be graduating this year. She’s pretty awesome. Just ask Wes. He happens to think she’s WONDERFUL.

You see, Ashley helped out a lot with Ty’s t-ball team this past summer. Her mom was one of our coaches, which meant she got to attend most of our games. We usually put her right to work. BUT, the funny thing was the relationship she developed with Wes. It all started with the sharing of a few popcorn kernels. Heh…heh…

Yep. That’s the way to Wes’ heart, already. FOOD.

At any rate, we all came to love Ashley. AND, we’re so proud of her and all that she’s accomplished. This is HER year.

Ripley Family

I love getting to meet new families! The Ripley bunch was a referral from a friend of mine who said I would absolutely love them. She was right! I can’t wait to hang out with them again! I’m pretty sure their session was the fastest session I’ve done during this entire pregnancy of mine, AND the best part is I got a TON of great shots in a small amount of time. It’s going to be super hard to narrow this one down. Everyone say a collective prayer for me!

WOW!

Time flies when you’re having fun!

I’ve been photographing this little gal since she was brand new, and I just can’t believe she’s already 3! Where did the time go?

She’s spunky. She’s smart. She’s so full of giggles and life! She’s VERY MUCH like her mama!

AND…

she’s got a thing for Dora! Who can’t respect that?

I always have so much fun hanging out with Kylie and her mom. I can’t wait to see her again next year when she’s 4! BUT, for now, here are a few more…

It’s not often I get to photograph a whole family of girls! I kept telling myself to enjoy it, soak it in, because in just 8 weeks I’ll have a whole family of BOYS! Whoa! The thought of having all boys is easy and fun for me, though. It’s what I’m used to…

All these girls…not so much! BUT, I had so much fun chasing them around, listening to all the giggles and squeals. It was perfect!

Drew, Lindsey, and Landon

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to photograph little Landon and his family, but they were definitely worth the wait. Unfortunately, Landon wasn’t very excited to see me this year! We tried everything from baseball to lollipops with only a few grins as a result. BUT, I’m pleasantly surprised at the photos we caught. After all, how many smiling pirates have you seen? Not many, if you ask me!

Another Year with the Rua Family

I love seeing this bunch every year. I’ve been photographing the Rua Family since their little man was just a newborn. It’s so much fun to see how they grow and change each time.

This year we decided to shoot at a more urban location. It was fun to change things up and the boys loved the trains!
