The Hilgenfelds are one of my newer clients, but I have to say I’m so happy they found me.  They are a fun group with lots of energy and 3 BOYS, just like me!  We fit perfectly together!  Here are a few of my favorites from last week’s session…

It’s true.  The session was a breeze.  I could hang out with these three girls ANYTIME.

It was so much fun watching them play and enjoy each other.  I hope I get to snap some more pics of them next year and all the years to come!

As you can see, they are just as cute as ever.  This time they have a little pink to add to the mix.  :)

We had fun exploring, feeding some ducks, and trying to finish up before the crazy Oklahoma heat set in.  I think we did pretty good.  Take a look!

I love them whether their bounding all over the place or sitting quietly like little adults!  They truly are one of my favorite families to photograph!  I’m super glad they took it easy on me this year, though!  HA!

]]> http://www.shannongurneyphoto.com/blog/hilgenfeld-family-3/feed/ 2 Little Family http://www.shannongurneyphoto.com/blog/little-family/ http://www.shannongurneyphoto.com/blog/little-family/#comments Thu, 07 Jul 2011 21:41:27 +0000 Shannon http://www.shannongurneyphoto.com/blog/?p=5626 If it seems like I’ve been shooting a TON of sessions along the river in downtown Oklahoma City it’s, because I have.  Mostly, I’ve been going there because it’s got a variety of backgrounds, but also because they WATER the grass.  That means, there is still a bit of green here and there.  Nearly all of my other favorite locations are burnt up and dry from all of these 100+ temps throughout the month of June and now into July.  I’m a little nervous about what the end of July and beginning of August may look like.

Still, this session is proof that even on a 103 degree day in the middle of summer, there is hope of getting some really great photos.  This session ranks up there at the top for me.  This family is so much fun and laid back.  We had a great time chasing the girls around and trying not to sweat through our clothes!  :)   We saw a bunch of baby ducklings and pretty much had the place to ourselves…

We even caught him standing up for a couple of shots!

I won’t waste your time by making you listen to me whine.  Instead, I plan to try really hard to catch up this week and give you more blog posts!  My sweet boys haven’t graced the pages of this blog in WAY TOO long.  So, expect to see more of them in the coming month.

For now, I’ll give you a peek at the Smith family.  It was over 100 degrees and SUPER windy, but we made it work.  I always have so much fun shooting pics with them.  This time around was no different!!

I love meeting new families who are so much fun!  I hope I get to continue photographing this crew for many years to come!

This awesome family drives in from Texas each year, and I’m lucky enough to get to hang out with them while they are here.  We’ve been meeting downtown because it’s centrally located and they always want to have fun somewhere downtown after our session is over.  This time around was no different, but it was HOT.  Everyone had red cheeks by the time we were finished!  :)

Luckily, this crew is totally worth hanging in the heat.  We always laugh a lot while we’re shooting AND India provides loads of entertainment!  She has grown so much over the past year, turning into a little lady.
