I mean, really.  Who could resist a smile this cute?

I didn’t even have to work hard to get that grin, either.  She was willing to share it…just because.    That makes me happy!

When India’s mama stuck this big hat on her head, she twisted around for the longest time trying to catch a glimpse of all of us watching.  She never could get that silly hat above her eyes enough to see out.  Then, all of a sudden, we caught sight of her grin.  What a cutie!

I told you she was all smiles.

I loved her and her family.  I even got to pick on Dad a tiny bit – he took it like a champ!

It wouldn’t be a first birthday session without a little cake.  Now, would it?

Then it was clean up time.  It usually takes the entire crew to wipe a baby clean after a cake smash.  This time was no different, and while I was helping out I happened to catch sight of this moment with India and her mama.  India was worn smooth out.

I can’t complete this sneak peek of India and her family without including the wonderful friends that referred them to me.  They are some of my VERY favorite clients.  Therefore, I was able to boss them around a bit and sneak them in a few shots.

Katie is the coolest gal I’ve met in quite a while.  I totally loved hanging out with her!

I met up with Katie and her gorgeous mom in Bricktown.  We couldn’t have gotten a sweeter night to shoot.  The sun was golden and there was only a slight breeze blowing.   As we cruised along the river watching the baby ducks swim beside us, we chatted about girl stuff, made fun of boys, and had a perfectly AWESOME time.  We also snapped a few photos…

Did I mention what a SUPER COOL chic she is?  I told her more than once, she’s my kind of girl.  No high heels in sight!  She brought every color of flip-flop under the sun, kept the clothes casual, and even laughed at my total dorkiness!  Thanks, Katie.

I’m not sure I have a bad photo from our session.  Scout’s honor.  She was so genuine and happy – that’s what shows through.  When you’re happy it shows!

I have to finish up with one of her and her mom together.  Thanks for an awesome time, girls.  I’ll hang with y’all anytime!

Oh, by the way, is it just me or does Mom look a WHOLE LOT like Leslie Ann Warren (the manager chic from the movie Pure Country)?

We had so much fun shooting along the river downtown.  Luckily, after rescheduling more than once, we were able to sneak in our session before the storm hit this week.  The wind was a bit harsh as the clouds were moving in, but we had fun anyway!

Of course, we had to celebrate Joshua’s birthday with some balloons and a cupcake.  I love his toothless grin!  Priceless.

Turning 6 is REALLY exciting!

Jonathan is at the best age.  He’s crawling and pulling up on everything, but not so fast we can’t catch him for a few photos!  PERFECT!  Plus, the kid never quits smiling!

AND, of course, I had to finish up with Joshua’s toothless, funny-face.  He was such a great sport during all the photos!

It’s been a while since the last time I saw the Haggard family – I have to say, I’ve missed them.  Last time we took it easy while shooting at the Myriad Gardens, this time around we decided to try something new and took a walk along the river in downtown OKC.

At first, we were a little worried about the weather forecast, but we lucked out and enjoyed the beginnings of an awesome sunset.  I love shooting along the river because you get such a variety of backdrops…everything from waterfalls to industrial columns – not to mention the cute ducks that followed us around. 

I couldn’t believe how gorgeous Mom looked.  She tells me it’s the result of training for a marathon – WOW!  I guess she’ll need to run a little extra for me since my bootie will be cheering her on from the sidelines.  I’m so impressed and proud of her.  I’m pretty sure her hubby thinks she’s pretty darn cute, too!

This little guy kept us on our toes, as usual.  He was not sitting still for nothing – not even my wonderful rendition of the ABC’s!  Who knew a wall of bright, green leaves would be so entertaining?  Thank goodness!

Little girls always find the tiniest flower amongst all the other stuff, don’t they.  She’s was so stinkin’ cute piled down in that sea of green.

I had so much fun with this bunch.  It was the perfect way to get back to work – thanks for going easy on me, Haggard Crew!

Sam is a funny guy.  He LOOKS a lot like his momma and ACTS a lot like his daddy.  It’s a good thing he has those good looks going for him!  HA!

Just kidding, Brian.  I know you’re well-behaved…right along with Sam, here.

Sam’s parents and I go way back.  Because I’m so close to his parents, getting to photograph Sam is extra-special to me.  I love being able to do something so meaningful and personal for friends I care about.  It’s why I love what I do.

Sam just makes the job easier.  Seriously, folks.  He was SO MUCH FUN!  In fact, I’d almost say he was a HOOT!

Don’t worry.  He has a serious side.  AND, it’s just as good-looking as his funny-face.

Sam’s mom and dad did a great job of bringing some of his favorite things along to our session.  It makes these photos even more meaningful to them.  Now, they’ll be able to look back on these and know how much Sam loved to hear stories when he was only 18 months old  OR how much he loved his basketball…

Did I mention he could do tricks?  Apparently, he and his daddy like to stand on their heads.   Nice.

I had a great time with you guys.  I can’t wait to see my buddy, Sam, when he turns two!

This time around we decided to meet up in downtown OKC.  Kinsley and her parents had quite a drive, though.  They live in Eastern Oklahoma in a small town VERY near where I grew up.  I love catching up on all the scoop when I see them.  However, this time we didn’t get much time to chat because we were chasing “HER” around most of the time.  I have a feeling she’s just getting started, too.  Better get ready!

The weather for our session was sunny and the light was delicious.  BUT, the wind had to go.  Man, that wind nearly wore us out!  Still, who can be upset when you have scenery like this to look at?  Bottoms up!

Aren’t they the cutest little family!  I keep asking them when Kinsley will get a brother or sister to add to the mix….

Funny, all I get are strange looks.  HA!

I guess she’s keeping them busy all on her own.

I would say she’s spoiled rotten, but the truth is she’s an angel.  Honest.  She’s gotta be one of the best behaved little gals around….always happy.

This one is one of my favorites from our session, sort of an in-between moment I just happened to catch.  The best photos are snapped that way.

and this last family set ranks right up there at the top.  I love the interaction between them.  Kinsley loves Mama and Daddy.

You all know how I like to end a 1st Birthday session, right?  It just wouldn’t be the same without the cake.

Everything was going our way which led to these spectacular family photos!  Here are my favorites!

The kids always love this area with the pebbles.  They can get pretty dirty playing here so I try to save this spot for last.  These two wanted to stay here and play forever!

I know I’m short on words today.  I figured I’d let the photos speak for themselves.  If I try to say too much, I might start talking gibberish.  I need a little more sleep to write a nice blog post or, at the very least, something to pry open my eyelids.

Meet the Biggers Family.

I originally met this family while I was snapping photos for their oldest daughter’s tee-ball games earlier this summer.  She’s a member of the Sweet Cleats team.  Remember them?  They aren’t easy to forget with those pink polka-dot socks!

She looks a little different all gussied up for family photos…

What is it lately?  I keep getting to shoot gorgeous sisters with bright blue eyes!  Man, that’s cool!

This one was a little on the shy, quiet side…but I still got some really awesome shots of her.  Here’s my absolute favorite!

The girls were so sweet to each other – I bet they’ll be attached at the hip as they get older.  Actually, they pretty much stay that way now.  How cute are they!

AND, this one of their good-lookin’ mom and dad is smoldering hot!  Whew!
