Meet Joe.

Joe…

Yep, just like the movie. Visions of Brad Pitt are dancing in my head…

Oh, okay. On with the photos!

Joe was an absolute doll to work with. I only hope my boys will be as polite and easy-going as he was. Really. He was special. Just ask his mama who happens to agree with me.

I met up with Joe and his mom in Guthrie. They drove all the way from Enid, Oklahoma and Guthrie was a great half-way point for us both. It worked out great, though, because who doesn’t love snapping photos in Guthrie. We had the perfect backdrops, everything from the tracks to old buildings and broken glass. We were even able to get in some tall, blowing grass. Perfect.

Here are my favorites!

Just as we were starting to snap a shot on the railroad tracks we heard a very LOUD whistle. I said we should get our shot quickly with the train coming in in the background – you know me, all about getting the perfect shot. Joe looked at me, then looked back at this, and said I’m outta here! I had to follow…

It was probably good since the train was “haulin’ booty” as we say around my house. We were barely out of the way before it flew past the depot and had the ground vibrating underneath us. It was actually kinda cool to be so close to it.

Swartzbaugh Family

I made the trek to Guthrie to hook up with the Swartzbaugh family, and I’m glad I did. Sometimes, it gets so tiring shooting at the same locations all the time. I love it when a client calls and already has a great spot in mind. It’s so much fun and refreshing to shoot in a new place. When they requested to do their session at the local High School football stadium I knew we’d have fun, and I was right!

Even though we nearly froze to death (that wind was ICE COLD!), we laughed the entire time.

Check out Dad’s blue eyes! Wow! I thought it was so cool when the girls showed up wearing their school colors around their necks. Those scarves sparkled like crazy in the sun and seriously made the photos POP!

You’ve gotta love a great accessory!

The football field/stadium turned out to be a really great place for shooting photos. The bright blue along with all that old rock and brick was perfect!

The next one is my FAVORITE from our entire session. Is she gorgeous or what!

Little Man, here, acted like he was SO picked on by his sisters, but really he was the instigator! He looks completely tortured, right? NOT!

The Goddard Family…and Boomer

These folks have been longtime friends of mine. The pretty mamma and I went to college together and have been friends ever since. You might remember Tyler from a senior post a while back. This time the whole gang made it out for a family session. We met in Guthrie at the train station and I would say we had a great time, but I’d be telling you a lie. Mostly, we just listened to all the boys whine about getting their pictures taken. HEE! HEE! I thought I was gonna have to promise those big ‘ole boys some candy or something! But, it all worked out and as you can see, we got some awesome shots! So, Goddard gang, here’s your sneak peek!!
