It was a chilly session on a breezy day, but we had sunshine. There were no complaints. Lately, my sessions have gone super quick and somehow we’ve gotten some of the best photos! It’s amazing what you can do when you’re cold and pressed for time.

The Hilgenfelds are one of my newer clients, but I have to say I’m so happy they found me. They are a fun group with lots of energy and 3 BOYS, just like me! We fit perfectly together! Here are a few of my favorites from last week’s session…

Little Family

Meet the Little family.

Photographing them was no LITTLE thing. We had BIG fun, especially when we found that HUGE pile of leaves to play in!

Once again, another family was gracious enough to shoot their session at my house…all the way from North Edmond. I’m so lucky to have such great clients!

Caram Family

It’s amazing what just a year can do in terms of family photos. Last year, we got great family shots from this bunch, but I had to work MUCH harder. This time around, I almost felt bad accepting payment! The kiddos were awesome, mom and dad smiled for me, the sun was shining, and a turquoise wall was involved. It’s called picture PERFECT!

I love this family and how much fun we always have shooting photos. They are so relaxed and up for anything. They should be my poster family, right? It may just happen!

Can I just say, I LOVE shooting at my house! It totally rocks! This holiday season just may be spoiling me – you guys better watch out!

These two gals were a TON of fun! Their mom happens to be an old friend of Josh’s from WAY back. So, it was super cool when she decided to hang out with him while I STOLE the girls away for an hour or so. We giggled and made silly faces and talked girl talk a TINY bit. But, the best part? We got some rockin’ cool photos!

Witte Family

This session was one of those “should we call it or not call it” kind of sessions. Wind gusts outside were exceeding 30 mph and weren’t looking to die down any time soon. BUT, we decided to give it a try and hope for the best. Afterwards, we may have been wishing (a tiny bit) that we’d gone ahead and called it….

Luckily, this family is one of those gangs that ALWAYS looks good, no matter what. Their charm and charisma shine through, even on the craziest of days.

Halle – 9 months

This shoot was so much fun! First, because I got to stay home to shoot it, and second, because the folks I was shooting are pretty awesome.

Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of sessions here at the Gurney house. The leaves are truly amazing – I think they are prettier this year than ever before. AND, shooting here helps me out by keeping me closer to the newest little Gurney boy.

Of course, we can’t forget about sweet, little Halle girl! She is spectacular all on her own!! I love her!

Here she is in all of her awesomeness at only 9 months old!

Sloane is ONE!

This was a tricky session! You see, Sloane recently started walking and let me tell ya, she was ready to investigate…Luckily, though, we caught a handful of cute shots of the little gal as she was blasting off at full speed.

My camera was only an obstacle in her path!

Still, somehow, we all survived!

Just Us Girls

I was so glad to discover that these gals were my VERY LAST session before Baby G comes. I knew the session would be a breeze and things would be just fine. Upon leaving the house, I was a little worried since my contractions were coming fairly frequently. Still, on I went, knowing if I could make it through this one, I’d be off for a week of rest.

It’s true. The session was a breeze. I could hang out with these three girls ANYTIME.

It was so much fun watching them play and enjoy each other. I hope I get to snap some more pics of them next year and all the years to come!

Rachel – senior 2012

Meet Rachel.

She’s beautiful, inside and out.

Rachel and her mom drove all the way from Byng, Oklahoma to hang out with me last week. I’m so glad they went to all that trouble, too. Because, Rachel’s session is going on my TOP 10 list of favorite sessions to date. I had so much fun! Plus, talk about an EASY session.

Most of you know I’m 9 months pregnant. In fact, I have exactly 7 days before baby Gurney joins our crew. I’m taking this last week off from shooting to catch up on editing and to relax a bit. But, I’ll tell ya, if all my sessions were as easy as Rachel’s, I’d be shooting THIS week. It was a breeze…even at 9 months pregnant!

Russell Family

The official baby countdown has started. October 10th will be here before I know it, which means I’ve been cramming as many sessions as I can into the last week or two. Not only am I completely exhausted, but I’m SO backed up on proofing! Luckily, I actually enjoy proofing sessions, especially when I have clients like these.

The Russell family is such a fun bunch! They wanted a location with lots of color and character. I think they chose well. Just take a look at all the color in their photographs!
