I originally met Melissa back when I was shooting senior photos for Angel in early April. They go to school together and are neighbors so she decided to come along for the ride. I’m so glad she did! We had so much fun back then taunting Angel to make him smile that she decided to book her own session with me. AND, this time she brought another one of her buddies along to have his senior shots taken, too! WOW! That’s just awesome ALL the way around!

We met up at a park here in town to get some traditional shots. Then, headed downtown to get a little fun and colorful. It was really dark and dreary out due to all the storm clouds, but we made the best of it and had a TON of fun!

The nice thing about shooting two seniors at once is the great candid shots I get while they’re tormenting each other. It really does change the whole dynamics of a senior session.

I seriously LOVED her dress – so much so that I might actually have worn it! I’m not really a dress kinda gal, more like a jeans and t-shirt kind. But, this dress called out to me for some reason! So, funky and cool!

Such a pretty girl! Melissa, I had a super time with you and Cole! I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

Hedrick Family and…Best Shot Monday

This crew gave me a complete workover, but I LOVED every second of it! I met them all at a local park and spent about two hours getting to know them REALLY well…some better than others! All in all, we got some great shots. I can’t wait to show them their CD! They are gonna love it… it’s not often you can get a group this large together on the same day and get photos to prove it! Such a neat family and a perfectly recorded day of memories!

Sweet Family…and Best Shot Monday

The Sweet family met up with me in downtown OKC after making a long 2 1/2 hour drive to get here. They were wanting some super cool shots of their little gal who happens to be in pageants throughout the state.

AND…I figured since they were all here, we might as well throw in some fun family shots, too!

So, "little miss…little miss…little miss can’t be wrong", here’s a peek for you! *sorry – that song totally popped into my head while doing this post!

Best Shot Monday – POPS!

Our last couple of days were busy ones around the Gurney household. But, the weather has been fairly nice, thank goodness. So, we were able to enjoy some time out in the fresh air and also to take part in a couple of fun activities this weekend. Ty had a birthday party to attend at PUMP IT UP yesterday (pictures coming soon) and on our way home we decided to take the scenic route home along historic Route 66. We had heard that POPS had finally opened up near Arcadia, Oklahoma. So, we stopped to eat a little dinner at the old fashioned soda shop style restaurant.

Out front of POPS is a HUGE soda that lights up in neon, brightly changing colors. It was awesome and I just happened to have my camera. So, here’s my best shot for this week! To see more great shots, go take a look at Tracey’s!

BSM – Park Fun

So, you probably figured the dinosaur shots weren’t the only photos I took at the park, right? thought so…

Here are a few more from our fun day at the park. This first one is my favorite from the whole day…I totally LOVE it! It’s also my Best Shot this week. Go here to see more great shots!

a client told me they call this place the SLIDE PARK…I can’t imagine why…

and, believe it or not, Wes was there, too. But, he spent most of his time hanging out in the stroller or on my hip since he’s too lazy to start walking! You can only take SO many photos of him sitting in the stroller….you get my drift…

So, there’s your proof…told ya he was there!

BSM – Happy Birthday baby boy!

My baby boy turned 1 year old this weekend…the 23rd to be exact. It’s so strange to realize how fast they grow. It seems as though he was born just a few months back, but that is not the case…

We celebrated with a small family party at my mom’s house and had a rockin’ time! I say rockin’ because that’s what Wes likes to do most…especially when there’s music on – rock back and forth and bounce on his chubby, little hiney. It totally cracks us all up (no pun intended – HEE HEE!). So, in honor of my "little man"…here are a few favorites from this weekend’s party.

Best Shot Monday – Ladybugs

This shot was taken last weekend during our "heat wave"… It was so nice outside that I went around the house opening all the windows, letting in all that fresh warm air. It was awesome! Ty somehow ended up in his window seat examining all the dead ladybugs who had gotten stuck there, between the panes, before all the cold weather hit. Just shows you how much I clean, doesn’t it! Not really, I actually do clean, but I hadn’t noticed the fact that Ty’s window was keeping all these ladybugs hostage over the last couple months! Anyway, he was fascinated by them and since they were already dead, he said he was going to ~~dissect them~~ take a closer look at them to see how they were made. Funny, isn’t it!

So, here’s my best shot for Monday! Enjoy!

This shot is part of a session I had this weekend. These two siblings (Tregan and Jayden) were adorable – BOTH of them loved the camera. The little guy actually said to me, "How about one more?" – meaning one more picture! Hilarious!! Just look at SISTER! She got some serious AIR!!

I know it’s already after lunch, but I’m still posting my best shot for today. I love this picture of Ty with his Aunt Carly. They were having so much fun chasing each other around the yard and playing in the leaves. This picture is capturing the moment when Carly caught Ty, they both went down into the leaves, and she’s trying to snag a kiss from this little guy who is refusing with enthusiasm! Whew! this poor little guinea is the only one left out of the ten we purchased awhile back… they just started dropping like flies…apparently this one is the survival of the fittest…guess I’m not good at raising guinea birds…anyone have advise on keeping them alive…
