Kim - My favorite gift idea is something from the heart. I love homemade, handmade items. Buying things are nice too but something made by those who love you is the greatest gift. My grandmother used to make the most beautiful quilts. I still have one she made my parents along time ago and I cherish it. One day I will pass it down to my daughters and hope one day they will then pass it down to their children. :)

Kristen - One year, I made my grandmother a personalized quote calendar. (It was a bit of a paper waster, I admit I am guilty of that.) But I had printed a quote per day onto half sheets of decorative paper, put them all in a binder, and covered the binder with fabric and lace. I am usually not a creative person, so I was really excited about this one. I would recommend maybe doing a monthly version and not use quite so much paper.
